Getting work and being included

My name is
Ciaran and I live
in Haddington.

I have been working as a volunteer at Gorgie City Farm in Edinburgh for about 5 years now. It is hard work and I have to be quite fit so that I am able to chop logs, do digging and move plants and things around.

It is important to keep the farm tidy and safe and I like my workplace to be tidy and organised. I am good at my job and I put a lot of effort into it.

I think it is much better for me to get out and about. Being able to earn money is important because I get to do things and have more freedom - more control in my life.

I enjoy my work and my experience over the last 5 years has given me more confidence. I am now keen to try something different. I want a paid job and have some ideas about what I would like to do. I am looking forward to a new challenge.
