People with mental health problems
We work with people who want to create more opportunities people who live with mental health problems in looking after their own well-being or in being part of their communities.
- We have worked with local groups, such as Mental Health Forums and other member-led groups.
- We have taken up points that several people said were problems for them, where they thought other people would have ideas on how to make things better, or when they wanted to find out if other people also had this problem.
- We started projects with people from lots of local groups, where the issue affected people across the country who live with mental ill-health.
- We have worked with voluntary organisations which wanted to find out more about the views or circumstances of their members.
- We worked with organisations that provide services and with local authorities and/or NHS services when they wanted to find out the views of the people they support.
- We have helped people who have lived experience of mental ill-health, family and friends, and people who working services come together to plan for ways to raise awareness about issues or plan for services that will support more people to have a good life.
- We have worked with people leading strands of the National Programme for Improving Mental Health and well-being when they wanted to make the programme work for people in local areas.
These are some of the projects where we have worked with people with mental health problems.

These are some areas which we hope to develop.
- Supporting the development of recovery networks in very local areas.
- Continuing to work with people in Glasgow and in other areas to explore ways to better meet the needs of people who are from ethnic minority communities and who are experiencing mental ill-health.
- Linking with people in other parts of the UK and in other countries around recovery.
