Who do we work with?
Outside the Box works with people and groups who feel that they have a contribution to make, or want to have a say in what happens to them or to their communities.
Intentionally, our work often cuts across traditional ways of describing this sort of work.
There are national projects which grew out of local ones - where a group of people in one place had an idea or asked a question, and this got taken up by people in other places.
There are local projects which are spin-offs for national ones - where people took part in a wider discussion and decided to do something about taking to forward in their area.
There are projects which involve people from several groups of people who share circumstances or interests. In some instances, this is because people said at the outset that this was a shared problem and they wanted to be part of finding solutions together. On other occasions, it started out as an issue for one group of people, and then someone said 'this will benefit other people too'.
This is a list of the main projects which are likely to be of interest to people in particular situations. It also shows some of the ways we can work with people.
