Ythan Health and Wellbeing Group

Checking out the feasibility of new services for people who have long term health problems

About this project

The Ythan Health and Wellbeing Group brings together people who live with long-term physical health problems, relatives and other people who want to see better opportunities and services.

The group wants to check out the feasibility of new services for people in the local area.

The first stage is gathering the views of people who have long-term health problems and their families.

  • There will be surveys - on-line and the traditional sort.
  • There will be interviews with people who have long-term health problems and with their families.
  • People will have a chance to meet up and talk about what they want.

The next stage will be working alongside other people in the community to get more of the services that people will find helpful.

  • This might be looking for funding for a new building.
  • It may also be about asking for some changes to the way existing services are provided.

The project is supported by the Formartine Community Planning Partnership.  The Community Planning Partnership and NHS Grampian are contributing to the costs of finding out what people want and what the future options may be.

Outside the Box are providing development time.  This is funded through the Working Towards project, which is funded by the Big Lottery.
