Out of Hours Support Service
About this project
The West Dunbartonshire Alcohol and Drugs Forum is the strategic group responsible for planning local actions on issues regarding alcohol and drugs. One of the sub-groups is the Client Involvement Group – the Future of Addiction Services Team.
People in West Dunbartonshire said that out of hours support was one of the main gaps in local services. They also wanted to learn from people’s experiences around what keep people affected by addictions safe and well – both people with addictions and their family and friends.
Outside the Box is working with the FAST group and other people in West Dunbartonshire to develop the out of hours service. Ideas so far include:

- Learning about how to keep safe and well and look after your own wellbeing - this will benefit lots of people.
- A telephone support service.
- Better information about services that are available out of hours, so people can easily find the help they need
