SH! Uncovered

SH! Uncovered is a project for people over 25 who have lived experience of self harm (self injury). This includes carers and friends of people who self harm.

About this project

“It is important that people feel accepted for who they are.”

This project is part of Working Towards, a Lottery Funded initiative to support new user led services.

SH! Uncovered has developed from our report Adult experiences of self harm which was published in March 2008.

Some of the things that people said that they wanted were access to more information, to develop services that were more appropriate to their needs and to raise awareness of the issue.

What SH! Uncovered will do

The webpage acts as a resource for people to get information about good resource websites that already exist.

It will allow people to tell us about groups or services that they know exist.

Let people know of events and meetings that are happening

People can tell us about good websites that we could provide links to.

Allow people to contact Outside the Box about setting up a group or an existing group to get some help to keep going.

We update the site with the information that you send us.

If you have any suggestions about what should be on the webpage, or want to get in touch with us about setting up a group, please contact us at admin@otbds.org

Outside the Box does not offer one to one support, some of the organisations below can be contacted for help with this.

SH! Uncovered is partly funded by the Big Lottery

This is part of a bigger project - find out more
