Recovery and BME communities in Edinburgh
Recovery and people from the black and minority ethnic communities in Edinburgh and Lothian.
About this project
The National Resource Centre for Ethnic Minority Health (NRCEMH) is working in partnership with NHS Lothian, the Scottish Recovery Network (SRN) and voluntary organisations in Edinburgh to raise awareness around recovery and people from BME communities.
There will be 3 strands to the project. One is based at the Ethnic Minorities Project and will involve people who are in touch with the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and with the Community Mental Health Teams. The other strands are based at Men in Mind and at Saheliya. All are listening to people from BME communities about what recovery means to them.
Outside the Box will be providing practical support for the project, such as helping with interviews, organising workshops and bringing together the main points from the 3 strands.
