Outside the Box

Speakeasy Lanarkshire is working on a project with Outside the Box.

The project is to do 3 things.

Consult with people who have had a laryngectomy and their families, and feed back to people who took part and others who are interested. The group would like to also make contact with people who have other head and neck cancers.

• Help the group identify plans for the future, including how they will link with people in other parts of Scotland.
• Work with the group to develop materials such as information packs, which they will use in their on-going activities.
• The group has funding from the Big Lottery for the first stage. Speakeasy Lanarkshire and Outside the Box will look for funding for the follow-up stages.

As part of the project, we want to gather as much information as possible about the issues facing people who have had head or neck cancer.
