Fair for All - Disability
Developing guidance for the NHS on better access by disabled people to health services
About this project
Fair for All - Disability is a partnership between the Scottish Executive Health Department and the Disability Rights Commission. It is part of Fair for All - The Wider Challenge. Fair for all means that everyone is able to access health services that are responsive to their individual needs and circumstances.
Outside the Box worked with the Fair for All - Disability team to develop guidance around access to health services, including meeting the responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination legislation.
The guidance shows how all health services can be equally accessible to people with any type of disability. It sets out recognised good practice and includes practical advice on how NHS Scotland staff can deliver services that are accessible for disabled people. It shows what staff can do to make sure that arrangements work for all the people who use their services.
